Now the neighborhood was on the brink of revitalization.

Nathan and his dog, Hank, had been on many road trips together. Nathan was a photographer, and his work frequently allowed him to visit new places across the country. He was single, and therefore free to grab his duffle bag and head out the door on a moment’s notice.

Earlier, a biker guy came in for a lighter. When Adam grabbed the right one from the display next to the cash register, his entire inventory spilled all over the floor.
